| 作家について クリスティーヌ・ヒルは1991年からベルリンに拠点をおく「アートストラット」。意図を明確にしながら様々な職業をアートに反映させている。たとえばマッサージ師、靴みがき、店員、ウエイトレス、モデル、また「ビンデミッテル」というグループのボーカルなど。そうした活動は生活における妥当性と正当性という事項を主題としており、またヒルが長く関心を持ち続けている、「日常生活に於ける自己と行動」というコンセプトに基づいて組み立てられている．ヒルは恒常的な活動を続ける一方でアメリカ、ヨーロッパで開かれる多くの企画展に参加している． |
About the artist Christine Hill [Artslut] moved to Berlin in 1991. She has worked a variety of jobs reflected as art in an attempt to illustrate purpose. Highlights include: massage, shoeshine, concession stand, waitress, model and singer in the band “Bindemittel”. Most of these activities deal with issues of validity and justification in life. Furthermore, she continues to be fascinated with concepts of self and action in everyday life and sets up structures concerned with these ideas. In addition to these daily practices, she has participated in various exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. |

What is Artslut? Artslut is a term meaning to replace, or better define, the job “Artist”. It attempts to be more realistic. It applies primarily to the description of jobs executed by the artist, and becomes a label, one assumed by it’s holder before being slapped on by another. |
